Fun area to walk around and SO much less crowded than Manhattan. The restaurants and shops are eclectic and friendly. Taking the water ferry over from Manhattan was fun.

We absolutely loved Williamsburg, we went there on the last day of our trip and we wished we'd gone sooner. Great bars, vintage shops, the park overlooking the manhattan skyline is fantastic. Just a lovely place to chill out. Barcade is also loads of fun!

On Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 12 p.m. I went on a tour with my girlfriend that began across the street from Station Restaurant. The tour guide was Jeffrey Stirewalt and he was very helpful in showing my girlfriend, myself, and two ladies the historical spots around Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Each location was nice as we stopped and got to learn history while looking at buildings and beautiful views on specific street corners. Jeff took out a smart device to show each one of us what the sights looked like in the past. It was really cool to compare then and now with the Brooklyn culture and buildings. The stories Jeff told were very informative and detailed. They were very interesting stories. I remember him stopping us on a street corner and telling us about the migrations to Brooklyn when people were travelling from all over the world to make a living. We learned about all of the different cultures and backgrounds coming together in Williamsburg that included artists and musicians. The Brooklyn bridge could be seen perfectly below the blue sky and the positioning for the story was perfect. All of the culture and all of the stories were very interesting and made Brooklyn such a great city to explore. We ended the trip at the waterfront with the beautiful view, across the water, of the New York City buildings from the Empire State Building to the Freedom Tower. We walked through the flea market after the tour ended and got a bite to eat. I am so glad I got to experience this tour and I highly recommend anyone who is interested in Brooklyn to check it out. Even if you are not, you will most likely enjoy all of the knowledge, stories and views that this tour has to offer.
