“I love Williamsburg”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

I love the Williamsburg vibe. It is a bustling city with friendly people, easy access to Manhattan and Northern Brooklyn on the L train and to DUMBO, Long Island City and elsewhere on the G. The restaurants and bars are crowded but the staff we encountered everywhere were courteous and the wait times they gave us were accurate.

“Bedford Street is great - go there by the bridge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

After having been to Brooklyn around Hights etc it was a pleasure to see Williamsburg. The main attraction seems to be Bedford Street with many nice places. Was there during the day but you sense there is a good night life! Go to or from by the Williamsburg bridge. It is a nice walk with beautiful views over the city.

“What a thrill ......”

Dirties, most polluted air in the city, garbage utilization plant , wastewater treatment facility, power plant in immediate neighborhood. For those, who consider moving there --445 square feet condo studio- $485 000. No doorman, no garage, no parking lot, no elevator. Perhaps you prefer to rent ? Here you go: Small studio for rent in 34 Berry building- 3000/ Month. About 50 minutes to the city ( G Train & E train) or 20 minutes walk to L train. G & L both suck.

“The new "it" thing in NY”

In the 00's it was the meatpacking district but now it's Williamsburg. Spend your day in the island and then go to Williamsburg for it's absolutely great bars and restos!

“High priced and dirty.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Garbage in the streets and high prices, I cant figure out the draw. There are many good restaurants and awesome views of the Manhattan skyline, it ends after that. Perfect example of supply and demand. Landlords charge outrageous rents for crappy apartments and the streets are strewn with liter. But the 20-30 somethings continue to pay it, so why not take advantage.
