This is the place to stay if you want to be in the city but away from the madness. There are some great restaurants, bars and shops. The atmosphere is cool, calm and collected and it's my favourite place to be.

Park Slope has so much to do and see. Walk down fifth or seventh avenue and you'll find countless restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques and coffee shops.

This is also one of the most family-friendly neighborhoods in all of New York so you'll see playgrounds and other kids as well.

Great walk with many sights and tasty stops. This is one of several self-guided walking tours of Brooklyn.

Everything is there. Food, ideas, books, services and lovely people. One of the best free things to do in Brooklyn!

Neighbourhood is safe, clean, gentrified with mostly well educated - middle income families. We stayed in a brownstone apartment located on Berkely Place for 10 nights during our trip to the big apple. Initially reluctant to settle for the suburb, but later reluctant to leave. Great cafes, restaurants and boutiques on 5th and 7th Ave (5 mins walk), well facilitated by three train lines with 20 mins ride to Manhattan. Very bohemian, funky, safe and stylish neighborhood. A fab public park at nearby Prospect Park.
