“A pleasant ride”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

After a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge take the East River ferry from the Bridge end to the north with many criss cross stops and views of the Manhattan area along the East River. Get off close to 42nd street and walk back to Grand Central.

“Fantastic way to see wonderful views and get across to Brooklyn”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

We took the ferry from the 34th St terminal down to Dumbo before walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. We're so glad we did this! It was only $4 for a single trip. It was a beautiful day and we had excellent views. There is a covered deck with seats or you can stay out on the deck (which we did) to take in the views. I'd really recommend doing this, especially if you're heading out on a clear warm day. We have some spectacular photos from the trip and is a great way to see the Manhattan skyline.

“Breath of fresh air”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We took the ferry from Williamsburg to dumbo and it was on time spot on.it was $4 one way and it was great because we could sit inside in the warm or go outside to see the view. It was good to get a breath of fresh air after taking the tube for 3 days and being in the middle of manhattan with all the fumes. Recommend this trip

“Quick way back from Dumbo, but would be great with better weather”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

It was dark and xmas eve, and it had started to rain so the views were not really as clear as we would have liked, but hey this service was still running on xmas eve night, and was efficient and the staff helpful, and only a few dollars for the trip to Wall St.

“Make sure you get on the right one!”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

We decided to catch the East River Ferry to get from Brooklyn to Wall Street. Accidentally hopped on the ferry going in the opposite direction, which would have been OK if we hadn't had timed tickets to the 9/11 memorial. The staff on board were lovely, and let us off at Williamsburg, radioing ahead so we didn't have to pay the fare twice. We should have been paying more attention, but I am sure we are not the first tourists to do this, so just wanted to warn visitors to make sure they have caught the right ferry.

Other than this mishap, a cheap, enjoyable way to see Manhattan from the water. Walk the bridge, explore Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights and catch the ferry. You won't regret it!
