Kiwiana is a newish restaurant in Park Slope which features an interesting collection of the most delicious food in the borough of Brooklyn. It has a bistro feel, but the food is way beyond bistro. The menu includes meats, fish, and vegetarian dishes, all with a Kiwi flair. There will typically be a game entrée as well, recently featuring venison loin. They have original cocktails as well, my recent favorite is the Autumn Breeze. We are a family of five including a 6 year-old, and they welcome us warmly. Most patrons are groups of 2 or 3 adults though, so don't think of it as a raucous kids club. They also have a banging brunch on Sundays. The food is upscale, the service is incredible, and I am fearful they will one day leave us for Manhattan.
