“Just a little off”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

I guess I just haven't bought into the whole Brooklyn thing. I compare this stay to my most recent in NYC, at the Morgans Hotel in midtown, and it just doesn't quite measure up. The rooms were super tiny, breakfast was not included, there was no place to "gather." Maid service was hit-or-miss, and usually around 4-5 pm. On the plus side, the front desk staff was nice, the decor very cool, and the subway stations were close. all-in-all, unless you have a specific reason to be in Brooklyn (we did), I'm not sure the minimal $$$$ savings is worth it.

Room Tip: Nice views higher up.

This was the second time my husband had stayed here and the first for me. On arrival Crystol at the front desk recognised we were tourists and that my husband had been there before and immediately set about organising a larger room for our 6 day - 5 night stay. Thus we got up graded to a lovely corner suit on the 15th floor. The rooms are immaculate and tidy, loved the high pressured shower (that I partook in twice a day - you know how we girls love to be clean on holiday). The rooftop terrace gave us some fabulous day and night time pics of Brooklyn. There is a Subway entrance about 2 seconds down the road and we found getting in and out Manhatten so easy. There is now a wee bar/restaurant next door - but to be honest we didn't use it as local places have some great food and coffee. Would return here in an instant!!!

Indigo duffield Bklyn
Stayed there one night -
excellent to go into city without paying city prices
I like indigo particularly their lack nice flooring and varied murals.
The desk check in went seamlessly
I was given robes and slipper as requested on a high floor
GREAT!!
Bed was clean and comfy great!
It was late when we returned from the theater
My unexpected let downs were;
No shower gel:(
No second bar of soap for shower use ,:(
only one tiny bar of hand soap:(
Sink has NO water pressure on 17 fl:(
No shower cap:(
No vanity kit :(
Stayed in nice corner
Room 1704
Nice attentive desk help:) thank you

Everything is brand new and lively
But missing necessities an indigo usually has.
Bottom line
Hope they heed my notes
Please stay here and bring what's missing-
It's on hotel row in Brooklyn !
Namaste

This hotel is situated in downtown Brooklyn, which is experiencing a lot of development (there is a new Sheraton and a new Aloft hotel across the street from the Indigo). From the hotel, you are within walking distance to Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, and Fort Greene, all of which have a lot to offer, and within a short subway ride to Manhattan (or you can walk across the Brooklyn Bridge) or other parts of Brooklyn, such as Park Slope, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum. The hotel has a small lobby and is very simple in its design, but a lot of thought went into the furnishings and finishes, and everything looks and feels new. The room was very thoughtfully laid out, and had a lot of light. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was under $200 a night, which was very reasonable for such a nice hotel in NYC.

Opened in August 2012. Small rooms, but well appointed. Room was clean and quiet. Queen bed was comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Emerging neighborhood, but safe walking at night. Easy walk to good restaurants on on Smith Street. Easy walk Borough Hall MTA stop for access to Manhattan or other parts of Long Island.

Stayed in the two bedroom and loved every minute of it! Staff was outstanding and very helpful. Close to a subway stop and even closer to Junior's Cheesecake. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Hotel was easy to find and within walking distance of my meeting near Barclay's Center. I had some trouble getting the rate I requested at booking, because the front desk staff at checkin and checkout were not authorized to change the reservation and there was no manager on duty. When I finally got in touch with a manager she was extremely attentive and handled the situation impeccably. I would definitely stay again.
