During our day in Manhattan, we walked the Brooklyn Bridge and spent some time in Brooklyn Bridge Park. A beautiful park, crowded with lots of visitors and Brooklynites. So relaxing, just to hang out and people watch or walk around....the view of lower Manhattan and the Freedom Tower is breathtaking! A definite place to visit.

This area of Brooklyn is a work-in-progress, and a lovely work it is!
We were there in September 2013, and could see the works from the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights. Then we went down to the park, discovered there had been a pop-up pool over summer, a delightful garden cafe, and a tranquil park.
There are both active and passive recreational opportunities planned as this park will stretch along the waterfront.
Great addition to the area, and stellar views of Manhattan.

what a view you ahve from this newly opened park, which is still in progress (oct 13).
approaching the park is a nice stroll over stairs, sportsfields, wooden bridges , down down down you walk and hit a great green area, restarooms, restaurant, benches, greens - its all there!

Love the location it's diverse setting and backdrop.... Wish there would be more parking for people who don't have the access to public transportation...
