Worth leaving Manhattan for something different. The park extends for some distance along the shoreline. Great perspective from underneath the bridges.

This is an awesome place, where you will be rewarded with a spectacular view to Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty in the distance. Not many visitors on a cold winterday as today, but can only imagine that it gets extremely crowded at other times. Dont miss this place!

The park is patronized the locals, principally the yuppies who have gentrified the area known as DUMBO. During the summer, it's crowded with folks taking the ferry to Governor's Island, where bicycling is the order of the day. The farmers market, open summers, features a variety of cooked foods including pizza and the Salvadorian favorite, pupusa.

This is a park which offers probably the most famous view in New York...the Manhattan skyline with The Brooklyn Bridge! Even on a cloudy day it was spectacular!

What's not to like about walking along this new and beautiful park, watching the boats along the East River, and gazing upon the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, and lower Manhattan. Lots of places to grab a snack or a drink and enjoy one of Brooklyn's prettiest spots,
