Were very suprised at the standard of this park. It was excellent and such a relief to chill out after the walk across the bridge

This mostly new and upgraded area features spectacular views of Manhattan. DUMBO (down under Manhattan bridge overpass) can be a bit noisy as you walk under the Manhattan Bridge, but that just lasts for moments, and you can see the iconic Brooklyn Bridge nearby. Last September (2011), Jane's carousel opened after 25 years of restoration work. It is a beautiful addition to this changing area of converted warehouses that are now artists' spaces and converted lofts. One of the best places to start your exploration of the area.

Got to go there. It is just to amazing, words cannot explain. Just go. The neighborhood is very old, great photo opportunities. There are some restaurants around too.

Brooklyn heights and Dumbo really gained a great park. Realize that this is not a car friendly neighborhood. The park is amazing, it's the best thing NYC has acquired in the Bloomberg years. The landscaping, playgrounds, and views can't be surpassed.
