My wife and I have been to Surfish three times together over the past 6 months, and have sent friends who have loved it, and we continue to be amazed that the place isn't more crowded. This small restaurant, in modest but not unpleasant quarters, is located in the midst of the many restaurants along Fifth Avenue in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. We have tried a number of fish and seafood dishes, which each have been what might be termed "nouvelle latin american " cuisine. Sauces on fish and seafood are unique, very tasty and based on latin american flavors, and are not heavy or overly spicy. House made plantain chips are a delicacy - not at all greasy. The caulifower soup is an example of the chef's creativity - a creamy soup that uses miso instead of any cream (vegan friendly) that is delicious, even for those who typically can't stand miso. Highly recommended!
