Description: Opened in 2012, Forcella crafts each pizza with style, grace, and top ingredients. It all begins with Caputo 00 flour and ends in a big, domed, wood-burning oven to pump out perfectly blistered, pillowy crusts like clockwork. The warm, rustic dining space is simple but comfortable, with a welcoming bar that offers a great view of the pizzaiolo performing his magic. You can create your own pizza with any number of fresh ingredients, or try one of their signature pies, like the Montanara, a unique house specialty that's fried, then decked with creamy fior di latte and slid into the oven for finishing.

This nice little Napolitan restaurant is tucked away on Lorimer Avenue. Positives: Great service and amazing food. Negative: Restaurant is small and a little pricey. However, it's a great experience, and if you appreciate a really good pizza, you have to visit.

The place is small but nicely decorated and clean. I saw various couples, friends and families eating here, so anyone will be comfortable coming. It's got a beautiful round pizza oven imported from Italy in the corner and a polite, friendly waitstaff.
We ordered their signature Montanara magherita pizza and a fried calzone. Since the pizza dough is deep fried before it goes into the oven with the sauce and cheese, the pizza (and calzone) is light and fluffy. The flavor was great. It wasn't oily at all. I'll admit that I had reservations about trying a deep fried pizza dough pizza, but I'm glad I did becasue it's different in a very good type of way. I'm looking forward to going back and layering on a few choice toppings. We also had a salad appetizer, rice balls and some sweet, malt beers. Everything was great. I'll have to save room for dessert the next time I come here.

This is not your pizzeria pizza. This is not so much "artisanal" as it is hand-crafted and baked with quality ingredients in the traditional method of Naples, Italy. A Master pizziolo from there has specially built coal-fired ovens that burn at around 900° F to bake the pies in just a few minutes. Try a fried pizza! It's not deep-fried but the dough it lightly, quickly flashed in hot oil before being built and baked as a traditional Margherita pizza but with a slightly puffier, slightly sweeter crust. Great ambience and service as well.

Even if this place weren't around the corner from my apartment, I'd still go there. The pizza is done just right. The restaurant can get a little noisy, so we tend to stick to the hours that aren't the busiest, and then it's quite a perfect dinner out.
