I stayed for 11 nights fromm 22th May to 2nd June, with my friend in suite, very comfortable and was very very spacious, clean.
The beds was very big and comfy, the shower in the bathroom was very good and water was always hot.
We would use it again, if i can back in NY.

I stayed for 6 nights in late May 2014 in a twin room with my Dad who was with me for three nights (no problem, no single person supliment etc). Our room was very very spacious for NY. Clean and modern. Comfy beds (singles were almost double bed size) though the quilts were a bit lumpy. Bathroom was nice and clean. Big wardrobe, safe etc. No fridge or kettle in our room, but what do you need it for? Amazing double height ceiling and a view over the Manhatten skyline. Very friendly and helpful staff, couldn't be happier with the hotel.

A few extra notes if you are unsure. Free breakfast is available in a small room, it's what you would expect of a free breakfast but you can always go out for pancakes or bagels! It can be a little noisy at night, horns honking etc but it's not too bad and this is NY, what do you expect? Also a free shuttle bus is available to Times Square but leaving at 9.30am was a bit of a late start for me.

The hotel is in a Jewish area and feels very safe. It's a 10 minute walk to the G train Subway station at Flushing Avenue, expect to take an hour to get from the hotel to central Manhatten. There does not seem to be much to do anywhere near the hotel so you will have to venture out for food, shops etc, but that's the plan anyway, right?

Overall a good hotel and great value for money, just a little out of the way of all the action for me.

Thank you very much for your review.
We appreciate you taking time.
Glad that you liked the hotel amenities also the fact that you are adventurous.

You are absolutely right about us being in the safe area and having few eateries around would be nicer. There are quiet a few of good restaurant on Myrtle ave. Which are only 2 blocks up.
I am in process of creating a local map showing all the great restaurant within walking distance.
Your next trip shall be more satisfying.
I am looking forward to that.

Staff friendly, helpful and professional. Beds comfortable, plenty of hot water, rooms not cramped. One free bus into Times Square every day at 0930h, we never used it as the hotel is well placed (10-15 minute walk) from a variety of Subway lines in Brooklyn. Only down side is that the breakfast room ( good continental breakfast) is tiny and at peak times people take trays back to their room to eat it. We would use it again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking Wallabout Street are quieter.

Our hotel room was clean and comfortable with all the little all the acccomedations you could need- breakfast, fitness center, in room fridge, two sinks (one in bathroom, one in room), 24 hr coffee/tea downstairs...you get it. It's in a safe neighborhood, not a far walk from the L train (which I learned is your main feed into other Brooklyn areas/ Mahattan), but you can ask the front desk to grab you a taxi if you prefer. They also have a free shuttle to Times Square. :) Overall, it was worth the money spent.

We stayed for one night. We were welcomed and looked after very well by Analie and Fodil in reception and Julieta in the dining room. We got the free shuttle to Times Square again the driver was excellent and coped with the traffic very well.
Handy for subway .

....the physical building and state of the place can't put it anymore than average (sorry). We booked the "King Executive" - best rooms in the house. I incorrectly assumed the terrace view of Manhattan would give us an open air view. But the door to the fragile roof/terrace was locked. In fact ours had some awe flu orange foam set into the door seal presumably to kill the draught. Which whilst not a pretty sight it was effective. The rooms were tidy and the refrigerator welcome for own supplies. Room also has a microwave and the wifi did the job.

The breakfast room is in 504, a converted accommodation room. If you are anywhere near it then you will have people outside from 6am. Breakfast was really simple. Bagel, sweet cereal, banana, pastries plus plenty of coffee choices. Space is at a premium so people wait for a table or (like us) take it back to your room.

The guest laundry is actually the hotel laundry so getting a spot between loads of towels is a challenge. Some of the machines are broken which causes stress to the staff. :-(

There has been some cements about the neighbourhood. Sure it is a very Jewish community but was safe. A short - medium walk away is Myrtle Street which has plenty of good restaurants. Walking the other way you end up in Williamsburg - an up and coming hipster place.

The guys at the front desk couldn't be more helpful. Suggestions for places nearby plus the daily shuttle to Manhattan is really handy - they'll also drop you (and luggage!) at NY Penn railway station or Times Square (42nd St).

I know Managment do reply to TA posts and can be a little scathing (part of the attraction to booking here:-) So please go easy on us!

Your honest opinion is more than welcome.
We actually are working on the appearance of the Terrace doors.
I wish all guests had access to the terrace, a roof garden or a nice open seating on terrace.
There are lot of factors involved. Starts with guest safety and ends with guests well being.
Being on the right side is so very important.

We appreciate all that you have expressed, Thank you.
This will prepare us to be better.
So, when are you coming back to see the improvements we made?
