“Great Pizza and location!”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

We took the subway to Brooklyn our first night in NYC. We wanted true NY pizza. After getting of the subway we had to ask a local for directions on how to get down under the bridge. The man we asked actually escorted us all the way to the restaurant with his 2 children. There was no wait when we arrived, but the place quickly filled up. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza. The sauce was excellent and the crust, thin, but also tastey. The only drawback was the price was a little higher than we were used to paying for a pizza. We enjoyed watching the joggers and families walking by on their way to the park close by. After eating dinner we walked down to the park for some amazing pictures of the skyline of Manhattan. The sun was setting, so this was an excellent place to be for pictures. After taking pictures we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. I thoroughly enjoyed our evening and our experience at Ignazio's. FYI....cash only at this restaurant, so plan ahead.

“Pretty good pizza”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

The pizza was good and fresh tasting with a nice thin crispy crust. My son had the meatballs - he's a meatball "expert" at 10 years old. The meatball itself was just ok, nothing special, but the tomato sauce was really good and fresh. Cash only here so beware, there.s an ATM in the shop around the corner.

“Good to eat”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

It's a charming place under the Brooklyn bridge. Not too expensive and very close to the park. I'd not go only to have the pizza, but if you include the ferry trip from Manhatan and the park it becomes VERY attractive, especially if you have kids...

“Great pizza”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

This is an extremely popular pizzeria in Brooklyn near DUMBO. You can get there from Manhattan via a water taxi. There is usually a wait but it's worth it. During the summer, you have to stand outside in the sun and it can get really hot so plan accordingly. You might want to try a time like late afternoon to avoid the crowd. The prices are reasonable and the pizza really good.
