This is a lovely home directly across from Prospect Park that was relatively easy to drive to, and we found a parking spot directly in front of the building. (NOTE: cars must be 'rotated' at an annoyingly regular basis if kept on the street but, hey, this is New York!). The proprietor was accommodating and available without being intrusive. We actually preferred the 'self service' aspect of the kitchen, and found the pantry quite adequate. The home itself is eclectically decorated, and our room and bathroom were large and comfortable. The subway running behind the house was just close enough to remind us that we were indeed, in the 'big city.' There are three stations that are within easy and safe walking distances. There was free wi-fi available, but it was a bit on the slow side. The television offered only the most basic channels, but I hope everyone has better ways to spend their time in the city! The linens and towels could have been upgraded a bit, but the bed was a king and quite comfortable. There was a window-unit AC installed that was a bit noisy and may be inadequate on a very warm day. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a taste of a genuine residential Brooklyn experience.
