We had a standard Queen room, but it was lower ground floor, the small window was on the street level so good view of shoes walking by and great view of our room for all passer bys the street. Our curtains had to be closed at all times, so no view or day light. Staff very helpful but not the best area and you are NOT on Prospect Park. Average hotel, poor location with not much around for two ladies to walk out too. Good point close to subway, short time into the city.

Pros - Overall the hotel was clean and nice. Clean rooms with fridge. Would stay there again.

Cons - Breakfast Room way too small for size of hotel. "Hot" food items were scarce and cold. Being gluten-free, I can't eat much except for the eggs and sausage that were offered, when there was any left. A large selection of bread, cereals and self-make waffles for most eaters.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family of 5. We booked 2 rooms in which we liked the beds very much. They gave us 2 opposite rooms which was very convenient as we could walk in and out very easily. The rooms are good with good bathrooms.
Still I gave this hotel an average rating, which is due to the breakfast. It is the standard breakfast with all the 'material' you see nowadays in these 'budget' hotels. The same waffle makers, orange juice machines are to be found everywhere now.
The breakfast room is too small for the amount of visitors.
Tip: ask the reception to open an extra room, which they will happily do.
Another tip: ask the reception if you can have a look on the roof top to see the NY skyline by night. Chris was willing to do it and explained a lot about the sight.
Location for a visit to Manhattan is very good as it is next to a R subway station.

This hotel was affordable and very clean. The staff was awesome especially Jose'. The rooms are very modern and super clean. There's a grocery store next door to purchase snacks for your room - you have a fridge in your room. There is a 24 hr Dunkin Donuts across the street and a KFC a block away for those late night cravings. The hotel has a parking lot attached which is nice so you don't have to walk blocks to get to your car.

The only negative thing is that the room for breakfast is too small. It was super crowded every morning. We ended up eating in the lobby and the conference room a couple of days. However, the breakfast is awesome and it's a hot breakfast -eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, muffins, bagels, etc. That's why everyone was eating breakfast every morning.

We plan to return next summer.

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor and we had an awesome view of the city.

Dear Epps Family,

Thank you for taking the time to review our property on Trip Advisor.

I am very pleased to read that our property lived up to your expectations, and that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for the comment about my staff. Customer service is our top priority, and I will most definitely pass along your nice comment to Jose.

On as side note, I myself love the fact that there is a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts across the street; I am an avid coffee drinker.. :)

We look forward to your return next summer!

I really like this hotel and definitely recommend to friends as well as come back to stay here. The hotel is a few footsteps from the subway and it has a grocery store for u to pick up some light food, snacks, fruits and beverages. The room I got was quite spacious, king size bed, clean bathtub, and LCD tv with cable, and wifi Internet for free. It also has a mini gym downstairs if u wanna burn some calories after consuming all the food choices in NY. The housekeeper comes to clean your room every day some could have new towel and clean sheet. What else you could ask for more at this price for a hotel in Brooklyn. However, if u wanna a transportation like a cab, do not use the service of the hotel as you could pay $50 for a one way trip to JFK airport, that was very expensive for the contracted taxi service compared to a normal yellow cab.

Built in 2010 this is a new hotel so it's nice and clean. Why they made the breakfast room so small I'm not sure but the breakfast on offer is pretty good. The rooms are compact but well appointed with good air-con and windows that actually open with a view of the Manhattan skyline.

The area isn't great but I never felt unsafe and with the money you save on the room compared to other Brooklyn hotels you could easily take a taxi every night up to Park Slope for dinner or dine out in the city. There are several good deli/supermarkets next door and over the road plus Dunkin Donuts & KFC. The subway station is right outside and its the R line that goes right up through Manhattan so you couldn't ask for better plus the subway is air-conditioned, a bonus in the current heatwave.

We found it to be nice and quiet and one plus that only people like me would notice is that the shower curtain has magnets in the bottom so the curtain stays inside the bath and saves the floor from getting wet plus the shower curtain rail is curved out so you don't feel like the shower curtain is attacking you.

The only negative we found was that the range of tv channels was very limited but then you don't usually come to NY to watch tv.

I stayed here for three nights with two of my children. The hotel is new and everything is clean and well maintained. Check in and out was smooth and quick. Breakfast was adequate with waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs and sausage or bacon. The eggs were obviously frozen and reheated and not good. The bacon was dry. Everything else was fine. The breakfast room was way too small for the size of the hotel. The rooms themselves were very compact but comfortable. I've stayed in smaller rooms and it is NY and we got a great rate. Housekeeping didn't come one day but we stayed in our room until noon so that could have been our fault. The area is a little sketchy but the longer we were there the more comfortable I felt. Nice little grocery next door and a deli across the street. Super convenient subway outside the door. And if you really don't want to use the subway a cab was only $25 from times square which isn't too bad. If you don't mind the extra travel times to Manhattan, this is a great bargain. I probably saved $550 over three days between the room rate and the parking charges. I would stay here again.
