Description: Ozu is a restaurant and lounge serving Japanese & Asian fusion cuisine. Located in historic Brooklyn Heights, Ozu has a modern Manhattan feel, with high ceilings and wooden tiles. This appealing eatery is a regular choice for anyone looking for the best sushi in the city. Our expansive menu offers both cooked and raw items, and our excellent service makes the experience unforgettable. Sashimi is a specialty, but you'll find everything from our famous Yankee Sandwiches to the Salmon Lover Roll. Come in and let our sushi chefs take your tastebuds to the heart of Japan with authentic techniques that bring out the most of the delicious flavors. We want to make it easy for our customers to get sushi whenever they are in the mood, so we implemented an online ordering service for take out. Now, whenever you want sushi, there is no need to wait! The next time you are craving some of the most delicious sushi that Brooklyn has to offer, look no further than Ozu Japanese Cuisine & Lounge!

“Excellent fresh fish”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

I ordered Chirashi (seasoned rice with slices of fresh fish) and was absolutely satisfied. The dish was beautifully arranged and the quality and taste of the fish was just excellent. Cool atmosphere and great food at a reasonable price.

“They try too hard”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Service is quirky. The 2 for 1 drinks appear to be a big draw. Warning: doesn't apply to beer. The rolls are huge and sometimes served a bit warm which worries me.

“Ozu's Lunch Special is a great bargain”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Ozu’s interior is modern, dark and kinda sexy – as Japanese restaurants often are.

They have lots of sushi on the menu but, since I find sushi disgusting, I had chicken Teriyaki from the “Lunch Special “ menu. It came with soup, salad and rice. At only $8.50, it was an excellent deal, even though the food itself was just okay and nothing special.

“Lunch is a Deal”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

This Brooklyn Heights Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, Food is consistent and good. Lunch as I said is a deal. The top price is $11.00 and includes soup, salad etc etc. It is plentiful and difficult to finish. ( I usually take some home). Try the 2 for 1 drink special.
