“Skip the hot dog - Awesome Burgers”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

The burgers are where it's at in Bark. Skip the hot dogs, one of their locally sourced burgers is the way to go here. They are cooked just right and melt in your mouth. Paired with locally sourced cheese and a cold frosty beer - you can't go wrong. If you are looking for an inexpensive meal in Brooklyn - do not skip Bark.

“Not Impressed”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

While planning our trip to Brooklyn, saw this restaurant on a top ten list of restaurants in the area. My husband is a big fan of hot dogs so I thought it would be worth a visit. Wrong! The food was just okay for the price. Honestly, the hot dog my husband had was just okay and the burger I had was just okay and actually, I didn't care for how soggy the bottom bun was when it arrived at my table. For a Saturday evening in Park Slope, there was almost no one in the restaurant and the vibe was nothing like had been described. Be warned, definitely a hit or miss spot.

“Hot dogs, how can they be special? This is the place to find out.”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This is a pricey little place to get a hot dog, but even so the hot dogs and fries make it worth the stop for a quick meal and a view of Brooklyn trendiness. Even as a senior, I feel very comfortable here (and they know me and my order), so don't be frightened away by the Brooklyn vibe.

“Great Taste but Not So Great Value”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

They have a lunch combo for $8.75 (hot dog, fries, soda) and I was allowed to substitute Bark's Krautdog for an additional 75 cents.

The Krautdog (mustard and sauerkraut) was very good. The fries were good too except that a bunch of them were in small bits - bits too small for me to pick up with my fingers and dip into ketchup.

The interior is nice with one wall of wood and the other bleached brick. The tables are wood with stools to sit on.

The main drawback here are the hot dog prices. Aside from the "Classic", which is $4.25, all the other hot dogs are in the $5 to $7 range. For those prices, the hot dog should be big and thick, but the Krautdog wasn't. My hot dog’s thickness reminded me a bit of a controversial photo of my former congressman, Timothy Wiener.

I can't say that my lunch combo was a very good deal: $9.50 plus tax is a lot for one not especially large hot dog with sauerkraut, fries and soda.

“Pssst- The Burgers are the Hidden Gems!”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

Famous for their great hot dogs, the burgers here are the hidden gem. Cooked perfect, seasoned well and juicy. They are not huge burgers, but have their amazing salt & pepper fries with one for a nice meal. You'll also know where every ingredient and product is sourced from.
Hint: Get your grub here before going to an event at the new Barclay's Center right across the street.
