Relatives we were visiting in Brooklyn put us up at this hotel, and because it was a Sheraton, we expected some luxury. But the only thing luxurious was the bed, which was very comfortable. We've stayed in some small rooms before, but they were at big city hotels that cost 1/2 what this did. We barely had room to walk from the bed to the wardrobe. And there was very little space to put our clothes. The nightstands had no drawers, which was quite inconvenient. Also little attention was given the room. Sometimes plastic cups were left for us, sometimes not. Sometimes we had two packets of artificial creamer, sometimes one. Sometimes a bag for ice, sometimes not. The maid just pulled up the covers over wrinkled sheets. We had to go in search of toilet paper from a service cart when ours ran out. There was no mini fridge so no way to keep milk for coffee. We tried to find a place to grab a quick coffee in the hotel, but no. The bathroom had only a shower stall, no tub. Later we found we could have asked for a room with a full bathroom, but we didn't know this was an option until we were leaving. The thermostat was clearly broken. So, bottom line, this is just okay, not anything special. If you get a good price then it will be worth it, if not try a hotel with more comfort features.

Room Tip: If you want a pet dander free room or a room with a bath tub, ask. They won't offer it. Expect...

I stayed at this hotel, recently in January and have to say I was pleasantly surprised, based on other reviews on here, I expected a lot worse. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and service was efficient. The rooms were a good size for New York, cleanliness was of a high standard and the beds were extremely comfortable. The only negative about this hotel is that the location is slightly sketchy, especially at night. There are a good amount of restaurants nearby in particular, Juniors who sell provide cheesecakes for a great price.

The hotel is brand new, the rooms are nicely appointed, the bed is a dream to sleep on, the staff is quick and friendly, the club lounge is great and its only 2 stops from Manhattan. I am coming back soon again.

Bad enough that GPS doesn't recognize this address yet - the city needs to install a street sign. We drove in circles around construction zones and one way streets, but without a street sign at Willoughby St. it's impossible to find, and the hotel staff, although polite, was no help. Room was small, but not unusually so for NYC. Our room was dusty, but linens were bright and clean. Good shower, comfortable bed. Strange club lounge, no fruit laid out for breakfast - I had to ask for it both mornings, and coffee was lukewarm. No good restaurant choices within a few blocks, and the food in the restaurant was average.

We stayed here and walked all around Brooklyn--to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and then to theater in DUMBO and the next day over to brunch in Park Slope. Manhattan is a short subway ride away. The room was very well appointed, reasonable size for New York and the staff was quite pleasant and helpful. Only minor negative is the immediate blocks are kind of barren at night, but you are only a couple blocks from a subway station.

Clearly a great value. You mentioned a lot of great places to visit in Brooklyn. Let's not forget a walk or bike of the Brooklyn Bridge for some breathtaking views and be sure to check out any events at the newly openly Barclay Center

Thanks for joining us at the Sheraton and we look forward to being your host in the near future

From JFK, took the train to the subway (A line) and dropped us off a few blocks from the hotel. Saved some money...sweet.

Checked in around 930 AM - no problem...upgraded to Club level... Elevator key card was broken, so didn't use it entire length of stay (3 days). Keys didnt work, went back down, new keys given....keys didnt work again, engineering came up...moved us to a different room. The keys in general suck here...takes several tries for the club lounge, gym, and pool...everytime. Elevators are fast (4 elevators).

Everyone was nice...offerings in the lounge are basic but sufficient for a snack...afterall there is pizza and cheesecake to be eaten.

Staff was all around nice. Hotel in good location. Aloft is next door.

Needed to be in Brooklyn...would come back as the Triple AAA rate is great for weekend stays.

I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and would return again to the Sheraton Brooklyn hotel. There is no greater compliment a General Manager can receive as she starts out her day. The key issue is a rarity but does come up from time to time as an encoder is getting to the end of it's life. I'll be sure to key an eye out for this issue

Safe travels
