We took a walk along Flatbush Avenue, going from Park Slope to BAM. Upon entering Flatbush Avenue from Fifth Avenue we were struck by a major construction project, although there was no sign to identify it, but it seemed unusual in having a curved shape. Further along there was a major urban shopping mall and then the Atlantic Center. Later I looked up on the Web re. what was going on, and found out that the curved structure is the future home of an NBA team. There's an ambitious 5 year development plan to revive the area, which still has some rough spots, and is not pedestrian friendly.

I wanted my wife to see what like to for people live and work in New York City, I could think of no better way to do this then to take the subway to Borough Hall and walk around Flatbush Ave Shopping District. Lots of store with clothes for families and working people of New York to wear. I bought a new pair of running shoes from a big chain store at a good price. If you want to eat there all types of store front eateries. If you want someplace special you can try Junior's and have meal and some Cheesecake.
