“Times are a changing.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

Brighton Beach is beautiful, but the ethnicity has changed. The Russians are coming is the new theme. Nothing wrong with that. Go see how this area of Brooklyn has become. Mostly for the good.

“Boardwalk from Brighton Beach to Coney Island”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

gorgeous view of the water all the way from Breezy Point to Staten Island. The boardwalk is still being repaired in spots after Sandy.

“lovely beach and boardwalk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

This felt like a proper, old-fashioned beach boardwalk which was lovely to walk down, especially on a hot summer's day. It's worth noting however that the boardwalk itself is in need of repair here and there, with nails sticking up and pieces of wood missing or damaged (not very safe for running children, for example).

“We enjoyed the beach!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

We went to the beach around 9 AM and there was hardly anyone there, most stores and restaurants were not open yet. It was the perfect time to go. It was beautiful and peaceful. The beach was very clean. We enjoyed the morning sun before going to the amusement park.

“A very unique area unlike any other in the United States”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

This is an interesting area. If you like Russian food & culuture, it's a great & unique place. I don't really like Russian food all that much. Brighton Beach Ave is lined with Russian-related stores. Unlike other ethnic neighborhoods, the people are not as friendly & they don't smile as much. They are not necessarily rude, but it's nothing like Little Italy. Brighton Beach Ave is just a few blocks from the beach. The boardwalk is okay, but Brighton Beach Ave is definitely the main attractoin of this area. I discovered Russian ravioli here. Coney Island & Bensonhurst are nearby. Whenever I take someone new to my favorite restaurant in Bensonhurst, I always take them to Brighton Beach just so they can see it.
