“Beautiful Museum”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

I have been coming to the Brooklyn Museum since I was a child. The new improvements have really opened it up and brought it back to it's original grandeur. It has parking and a deal that goes along with the Botanical Gardens which is a must see for tourists. It has wonderful exhibits along with an excellent collection of it's own. I went to see the Sargent watercolors which were as lovely as expected but also thoroughly enjoyed the artist Al Anatsui exhibit in which he turned garbage like twist ties and tin cans into amazing art.

“First Saturdays at Bklyn is the place to be!”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

This was my first time attending a First Saturday summer event at the Bklyn Museum. It was absolutely fabulous. Lots to do and people to watch (the most fun part). The band was very talented and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the outside line dancing. I'll be sure to go to this event the rest of the summer.

“a bit out of the way but SO worth it!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

I live in Brooklyn, but had let our Brooklyn Museum membership lapse. Rejoined...went to the wonderful John Singer Sargent watercolor exhibit. No words to describe how beautifully mounted and curated this show is...american quilts, just around the corner was also impressive.
