Nice to find a museum not in Manhattan thus not overly crowded. Great exhibitions, friendly staff. Beautiful gift shop.

The Brooklyn Museum is worth the trip if you're staying in Manhattan on vacation. It's a short subway ride or walk the Brooklyn Bridge and catch the subway for 2 stops.

The Brooklyn Museum is not huge like the Metropolitan Museum or as fancy as MOMA but it has fabulous treasures in a walkable, manageable space that's spacious. You can breath in the Brooklyn Museum!

It's worth the trip to see Judy Chicago's exhibit. Once done, the rest of the museum has creative exhibits with well-written descriptions.

The Snack Bar has huge windows and the shop is wonderful with a variety of prices.

The subway stops 30 feet from the door. If you're getting tired of the hustle and crowds of Manhattan, take a relaxing afternoon in and around the Brooklyn Museum.

We wandered the museum on a rainy afternoon in October and found it to be most enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the African collections

Beautiful museum has a great outdoor area since the renovation. The permanent collection is nice and the exhibits are often quite exciting. There is a free Target Saturday Evening on the First Saturday of the month It is crowded but they do have music.

This museum is well worth the subway ride from Manhattan. This is the second largest museum in the City after the Met. It has a great collection. Beautiful building.
