First time visiting Prospect Park back in Jane, and I've immediately fell in love of this place. The park is huge and even offers more than what Central Park does (in my view). Whether you are there for bicycling, casual stroll, outdoor cookout with family, or even just a short nap, there are plenty of paths and space for you to do so.
With so many scenic spots located in the park, I truly believe that I'd go there literally every weekend if I ever live in the area.
It's like a perfect spot to visit esp. when it's super nice out during summer time, and it can get pretty crowded in the opened space (still not as crowded as Central Park).
Highly recommend everyone to pay a visit!
This park is massive and with paths going every which way you can spend a peaceful couple of hours away from the hubbub. Two lakes to see and bikes to rent as well. Close to the Park Slope brownstone houses, you can spend a good few hours in the area. I must say that we were astonished at the amount of litter and plastic just thrown around. Bin it all please and save this lovely place.
I lucked into a day off while in town for work decided to hoof it on over and wander around Prospect Park. It was a Saturday and there was a nice farmers market out front. Also large area for composting which was nice. I strolled around the whole perimeter of the park. There's plenty of areas to sit and chill. Ball fields, waterviews, benches. It's crowded but there's room to not feel like people are on top of you. Great way to spend some time.

Prospect park is huge .There is so many options for things you can do with families with young children,as a couple as a group or by yourself there is lake views fishing,family bike rentals, paddle boat rentals and much more
