Owner description: Brooklyn's answer to Central Park, Prospect Park contains a zoo, an audubon center and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Its entrance is marked by the large Memorial Arch and it is a mecca for families and nature lovers who go to play ball, bird watch and listen to outdoor concerts.

Me & my daughter had a good time visiting this park in Brooklyn, New York. It is a huge park and has a dedicated cycle track, it has got a few ducks and sea birds also.

Brooklyn's most popular park with a large central lake and many large open fields, great for roaming or just relaxing under some shady trees. There are long paved walking and biking lanes. The park roadway is frequently closed to traffic. There is a playground on the west side, a zoo and botanical garden on Flatbush Ave side.

Prospect Park is well maintained and a nice environment to walk through. There is a farmers market just past Grand Army Plaza on the weekends. Nice to take a picnic, or just get back to nature for a few minutes - escaping the city streets.

We took the grand kids on an outing. There is so much to see and do. The zoo is interactive, and the sea lions are so entertaining. We hiked over to the boat house and had a picnic by the lake. The children played hide and go seek inside the weeping willow. Then we took pics inside. Everyone had a marvelous time.

As someone who lives right across the street from the park, I appreciate the fact that there's some type of greenery considering we live in New York City which isn't really the nature capital of the world.

I'd say that Prospect Park is like the Central Park of Brooklyn. It has tons of character, history and while not as much activity, it has stuff to do.
