Owner description: Brooklyn's answer to Central Park, Prospect Park contains a zoo, an audubon center and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Its entrance is marked by the large Memorial Arch and it is a mecca for families and nature lovers who go to play ball, bird watch and listen to outdoor concerts.

This is surely a relaxing place to go to. It doesn't have the amount of crowd one encounters in Central Park. The park is well-kept, the greeneries are beautiful and well-maintained, the paved pathway for strollers, runners, and bikers are well-maintained as well. Too bad it had been too rainy the past days I didn't have a chance to go back :-(

We visited Prospect Park during a heatwave and was looking forward to sitting by the boating lake but was disappointed to find it all fenced off. We were told they were constructing a skating park. Other parts of the park seemed a little run down; shame as it could be lovely!

We made the mistake of leaving the park for later in the afternoon so most of the concessions were closed as was the zoo. We weren't going to visit the zoo but just giving you the info. The park if beautiful without the Central Park crowds. Very laid back and full of people running, biking and hanging out. Very family friendly.

Great park with nice lawns, relaxed atmosphere and barbecues for free use.

Walked through the park to attend the Googa Mooga festival. Wished we could spend more time there to relax during our stay in Brooklyn.
