Always something pretty to see even in the dead of NYC winter. I especially enjoyed the bonzi exhibition. Don’t let the cold scare you away .

These gardens are vast and so beautiful with unique plants and trees. The rose garden is lovely with many different varieties including heirlooms. The Shakespeare garden is especially unique with many different varieties of plants mentioned in Shakespeare's works. The conservatory is especially unique with aquatic water plants from around the world and Bonsai trees. In late April the cherry trees are spectacular. This is truly a must see for any traveler in New York.

The area is 54 acres and right next to the subway exit. The grounds are beautiful, and laid out so every area is easy to walk to. The indoor conservatory area was fantastic. I definitely want to return in the spring to see the large cherry tree area in blossom. Allow 2-3 hours.
