This was a great place to take a break away from the city. We visited on a Tuesday when it was free admission and were treated to fields of bluebells, a gorgeous Japanese garden, beautiful rose garden and others that date back to the early 1900's-not to mention the amazing bonsai collection. There is something here for everyone and easily accessible via subway.

The gardens are well maintained. Walking paths are wide and accommodating. Labeling of trees and flowers was very helpful. Beautiful!

Enjoyed the cherry trees and tulips. Excellent website that notes seasonal blooms. Japanese garden would be peaceful at any time of year. Excellent gift shop.

I went when the Cherry Blossoms were in bloom. Tuesdays are free... but also crowded, but not so much that it wasn't enjoyable. That was my only time being there so I'd love to go back on another day to see the difference in attendance. Gardens are great. Nice to take some time, sit and take in the oasis in the bustling city.

I had the beautiful experience to visit the garden on may 2013; I have visited during the fall; however, I will never thought that during this time you have different types of Orchids of different sizes and colors. I will recommend to visit the Botanical garden during this season of booming. Please see all the pictures. On saturdays morning before 12 a.m. it is free the entrance. However, there is a restaurant inside the garden where children and adults could lunch.
