Owner description: Opened in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge provides passage between Brooklyn and Manhattan for motorists, trains, bicycles and pedestrians. One of the primary symbols of New York City, it is a marvel of design and provides spectacular views of the city's skyline.

there are not too many places where you get to walk across one of the most famous, and most beautiful, bridges in the world. an icon for more than 100 years, the walk across the bridge on an especially sunny day is a delight. even if the weather isn't too nice, the bridge adapts itself to any conditions. make sure to pause to marvel at the double arches, the views of manhattan and brooklyn, and the williamsburg bridge and the manhattan brdige. to learn the history of the construction of the brooklyn bridge, be sure to read "the great bridge", by david mccullough.

It's a real experience to walk the bridge and see the beautiful NYC skyline. Everyone has to do it at least once.

Walking over the historic Brooklyn Bridge is a thrilling experience in all seasons. I have walked it many times and I have always enjoyed it (even when I had no choice, like when we had a transit strike). Bring a camera, your paint set or pen ,whatever you need to do, to capture the beauty of the bridge and views. It also has information plaques about...well, go and find out. I highly recommend this attraction.

being able to walk to manhattan across the brooklyn bridge on any given day is one of the greatest pleasures new yorkers are afforded, me among them. it doesn't matter if it's too sunny or overcast or a little windy or a little too hot (or frigid), because the sheer spectacle of the new york cityscape inching closer with every step is electrifying. it never gets old (although it is, it's really old) and it never fails to lift the spirit and sharpen the senses. your walk across the brooklyn bridge will not cede first place in your memory of the day you took it. but right now it's not quite as lovely. the bridge, you see, is being renovated. there are metal sheets up all along the main way that will confound your experience of things. you will surely still be awed, the city is tall enough to see over the obstructions, but you will also be annoyed by the fact that you know it will be better once the work is done. don't skip it, by any means, just know what you're in for. by the way, once you're crossed over the bridge, you are spitting distance to china town. go for dim sum.

Beautiful views of the city. A must for any New York visit. Can walk across or bike ride. fun way to see the skylines while getting some exercise. it is also worth getting grimaldis pizza on the Brooklyn side, underneath the bridge.
