Have stayed before and been satisfied. It's cramped for 2, but not unusually small for mid-price NYC. This visit, in the last days of May, we arrived 3 p.m. and Sasha, the very pleasant and solicitous front desk manager, first assigned us to a room where the door was blocked by renovation work materials from the room immediately adjacent. Back down, got moved to similar room one floor down on the other side of the elevator. Seemed OK until we soon noticed dust and bits of insulation/debris raining down in the tub/shower from the little access door in the bathroom ceiling - caused by the construction above (it turns out they are renovating all the bathrooms). A call to the desk brought Sasha, Chet (the general manager), and a construction foreman up to check it out -- and aplologize -- then we got moved to a third room that was underneath one that was already renovated. Fine, except the loud construction noise on the floor above continued after 5 p.m. and we left for dinner an hour earlier than planned to get away from it. At check-out, Sasha apologized again. We raised the idea of some type of acknowedgement from them, and the general manager gave us 10% off our bill. Seemed a fair and reasonable resolution. Otherwise, all the positive comments in prior recent reviews are accurate and, overall, they are clearly trying to run a good hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms immediately below construction work.

I'm not sure if this was our third or fourth stay at Le Jolie...but it definitely won't be our last!
Everything about the experience always lives up to our memories and expectations. Chet and his staff (front desk, breakfast room, porters, etc) are welcoming, full of help and advice and rightfully proud of their establishment.

Le Jolie is an excellent value, too. Clean, modern rooms, free continental breakfast, free bottled water and free parking. Where else can you get all of this?

We love exploring the neighborhood (be prepared to walk) but the nearby subways make getting around Brooklyn and into NYC or LIC easy, too.

It's our "go-to" for the NYC area.

Room Tip: Twin rooms are available and overlook the BQE but the windows are definitely soundproof so no proble...

I stayed at the Le Jolie for a week. My room was small but very clean and comfortable. I loved the bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and gave me an umbrella when it was pouring outside. The breakfast and all hours coffee station were better than expected. The neighborhood isn't that great but it's located in an up and coming area. I walked there during the night and was a little nervous but there are always people out in Brooklyn! It's easy to walk to the subway, shopping, restaurants, stores, the ferry, and the park. It is walking distance to their farmer's market, too. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in Le Jolie hotel for seven days. Although the hotel is not in Manhattan, it is certainly worth staying there as it is cheaper than staying in Manhattan. The hotel is located close to the subway station Lorimer and within ten minutes you are in Manhattan. The rooms were not very big, but they were very clean and tidy. You will get free water bottles in your fridge every day and there is also free breakfast every morning. The staff is really willing to help you. When it was raining they offered as an umbrella. There is also free wifi and there is a computer and printer that can be used. Some people say it can be noisy because it is located close to the high way but we did not experienced that. Overall, a very good hotel which is worth the money.

another good visit. The standard is always consistently good.
The breakfast facilities are good for the inclusive price. it is ideally suited to someone visiting the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn. It is close to a large number of good small restaurants on Graham and Bedford.

My daughter found this little gem on the edge of Williamsburg. I was very apprehensive looking out from the taxi, the area seemed a bit rough ( thats Brooklyn) , but the inside was great! My room was bigger than rooms at the Standard or the Hudson, I could unpack and store my luggage! I could actually turn around without banging into something! Spotlessly clean and very quite with a decent breakfast, and one stop on the L train to downtown. Great value found here!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back!
