We stayed here in November to catch a view of the Aurora. We read all of the great reviews on trip advisor and felt confident that we would enjoy our stay.
We were not disappointed.
Everything was perfect. the cabin was immaculate there were nice homey touches.
The kitchen was stocked with condiments and k cups for the kuerig. There were toiletries provided. The owners left a homemade lemon poppy bread in ther fridge for us as well as chocolates on our pillows.
We also booked a snowmobiling tour and ice fishing with Rod, the owner of the cabin.
Both were amazing. We had the best time. He was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and other things to do.
We did get to see the Aurora while we were there. It was the perfect spot for viewing since we could look out the window then go outside.
I highly recommend this cabin. We had an amazing time.
Three friends and I stayed at MooseWalk Cabin for a week. It was truly wonderful. The Cabin sits on a body of water and is complete with its own fire ring, grill, picnic table and outdoor rockers. There are also canoes to use.
Inside, the Cabin is open , bright, and meticulously clean. Everything about it says Alaska from the decor to the dishes. We lacked for nothing. What a great week! There was room for us to spread out and places to come together.
The Cabin is located in North Pole Alaska which turned out to be a great central location to visit Denali, Chena Hot Springs, Pioneer Village, the riverboat ride, Walking with Reindeer, and others that I've forgotten. We had a really busy wonderful week .
Our hosts were totally great. Go visit . You will love it!
My husband, 5 year old son and I really enjoyed our two-night stay at Moose Walk Cabin. Terri and Rod are great hosts and the cabin is stocked with a plethora of amenities. The location is quiet and peaceful. A chocolate candy bar on each guest's pillow upon arrival is a nice personal touch as well. Highly recommend!!
We really enjoyed staying at Moose Walk Cabin--even saw the moose walking in the river in front of the cabin 3 different nights. The owners have provided for all a guest's needs, from well equipped kitchen to comfortable beds to TV and internet. It was quiet and spacious and the location was convenient for sight seeing in the area. While we had no problems, it was good to know the owners were close by, and Terri was very friendly and helpful when we checked in.
Perfect cabin in Alaska, it has everything we were looking for and more ! We had a wonderful 'winter honeymoon' in early November 2016.
Terri and Rod have thought of every little detail and there can't be a better place to go in Alaska to rest, relax and watch the auroras. We had magical night shows in the sky. There is even a 'guest tripod' !!
We stayed warm inside with the fire pit and cozy blankets as we were waiting for auroras to come. The coffee stand is just what you need to stay up all night, and there are windows to check the sky and know when to go out and settle on the terrace chairs.
The kitchen is so well equipped, I think it has more appliances than my own (waffle maker !! I got one a few months after this trip ;)).
The bedroom is very comfy, we never got cold. There is a convenient washer/dryer downstairs....and moose decorations everywhere, which I loved !
It was too soon for the winter activities but thanks to our discussion with Rod and Terri, we went to see the reindeer farm near Fairbanks, and we went on a mission to see wild moose, which we did on the last day !
Really, this place is a heaven. We chose to cook, the supermarket is less than 10 minutes away by car.
Choose this place for its location, its taste, the view you get from it, the quietness, the kindness of the hosts...I can't see any way to be disappointed ! The only thing they can't guarantee are the auroras :) but we got so lucky with those, it was a perfect week.
We want to go back !!!
We arrived and were swept away with the location. Saw the Northern Lights the night we got in. The cabin was comfortable for all of us and we had plenty of room for activities. Everything was amazing along with the owner's hospitality. She had a multitude of information and was very welcoming. Plenty of warmth, linens, cooking equipment and all the comforts of home.
The only thing that was a little disappointing is that the skating rink or hockey area wasn't cleaned off, but it had just dropped an unusual amount of snow and the family cleaned it off a goodly amount. It was beautiful and I would recommend it to everyone thinking of going to that area. All I can say is thanks for the stay and the hospitality....................
Our only complaint for our stay at this lovely cabin is that we simply didn't stay long enough! The cabin was absolutely perfect. It was neat as a pin, cozy and well appointed with everything you may need. After traveling from Michigan, having toiletries provided was a huge plus. We also packed light for our vacation to Alaska, so the washer and dryer was very nice. We enjoyed a wonderful cup of coffee from the Keurig each morning as we sat on the deck and enjoyed the river. We also used the on site canoes and fishing equipment and had great fun catching some Grayling on the river. All of these experiences would have added up to a great vacation, however the part of this stay that was truly spectacular was our experience with our hosts Rod and Terri. They are the most hospitable people we have ever met. They strive to make sure you have all you need to appreciate all the area has to offer. The extra surprises of Alaskan salmon in the freezer and a delicious cake awaiting us in the fridge were just icing on the cake :) If you are considering this property at all, do not hesitate, book now. We will definitely be returning, hopefully in the near future.
