the food was plentiful, but they did not allow substitutions at all. the service on most of the visit was extremely slow, although it seemed to be the dinners. lunch was fairly quick. It tasted good and had a decent selection.

Party of 7 and no one liked his or her food though the person getting a steak said hers was fine. Other items were burned and dried out... just bad, bad, bad. No, we didn't complain, out of concern for the host's feelings (the person in our party who had taken us there and was paying.) Everyone was so disappointed and felt terrible that it was expensive and such a waste of money. Our party included out-of-town honored guests and all left feeling very down because it was such a bad meal. Ugh. :-(

I have eaten here in the past with mixed results. Last Friday (April26) a friend and I ate in the dining room and it no longer felt like the dining room, just an extension of the bar sans tablecloths and smoke free. I appreciate the smoke free but the food was dreadful and in retrospect it should have been returned. I had ordered crab stuffed mushrooms and I defy you to detect a crab anything. It was some sort of soupy concoction with a thicker mystery sauce drizzled on the side. Even the mushrooms tasted old from perhaps too much refrigerator or freezer burn. I also had the chicken Caesar salad that was more crotons than chicken and minimal bagged salad. An overpriced $30.00 "meal" hardly worth a return visit despite the view . Come on Pikes step it up. If you can't produce a decent appetizer or salad, why would I risk$40 plus for an entree?

Great selection of nicely presented food, from the fresh fruits and salads to seafood, beef and poultry, plus breakfast selections from fluffy scrambled eggs and Eggs Benedict to sausages and breads.
For folks who like a really big meal, this is a bargain indeed, but would not recommend it for light eaters, who are happy with a small portion and cup of coffee or small glass of juice.
Pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff.

Have been patronizing Pike's for several years now with friends. Always an enjoyable experience. They've done some remodeling this past winter which has reduced the congestion between the main dining room and the area where the Sunday brunch buffet is arranged. Much nicer and you don't have worry about going around blind corners anymore.
