Many moons ago ate at this restaurant on the Chena Hot Springs Road and enjoyed it because it featured Alaskan dishes, like salmon, halibut, etc. However now they feature one option of halibut with cream sauce and no other option for preparation. I ordered pork ribs they were delicious but it took an hour for our food to arrive. Granted we were not in a hurry but ... it should not have taken that long. I asked the server what the problem was and her comment was "No one wants to drive way out here to work." Since it is about 20 miles out of Fairbanks I can relate. Also her lament was that "Once we hire someone they don't want to work." A common problem everywhere not just here. So if you are not in a hurry and enjoy a good leisurly meal head on over. Weekends tend to be slower, when that happens take a seat in the bar and you will be served faster.
