What a joy! Excellent, friendly service, a great view and delicious, gourmet food presented beautifully for a great price. We enjoyed the experience with friends and would recommend this restaurant with great enthusiasm.

“Excellent meal”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

A salmon dinner for our 43rd anniversary. We had a personal recommendation from someone with high standards, so we expected high quality and we got it. We were tempted by several seafood items on the menu, but when the waitress said it was sockeye, we had to try it. My wife had it prepared one way and I another. Both were excellent. They recommended wine pairings and those were good also. The mushroom soup was also vey nice. Drinks were adequate.

The only drawback was that we sat outside - great ambiance on the river, but Fairbanks is having a heat wave and it was hot. If you eat outside in the summer, bring sunglasses. Even late at night, the sun still shines at summer solstice.

We are here for four days. We may go back. The seafood fettucine and halibut both sounded wonderful.

“Food's good, service not so much”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

I've never had bad food here. Love sitting on the deck by the river. But the service is slow, even when it's not crowded. We had to ask twice for lemon for the water and twice for catsup. Then we waited 20 minutes for the check. Slow. But good food.

“Great Meal”
Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

My first visit was a great experience. I used to live in Fairbanks and have traveled here a few times a year for many years but never ate here. My a fantastic meal. One of the best I have had in years. I ordered one of their specials - prosciutto wrapped salmon. It was served over a beautiful salad with fresh blackberries. Great presentation, fresh salad, and perfectly prepared salmon (especially considering it was likely not fresh this time of year). Good, prompt, friendly service. The only negative is that it is pricy. However, I would say well worth the price. Just be prepared. Highly recommended. Can't wait to return.
