“Cook is no cook!!”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Have tried this place many times over the years and have been disappointed every time. Last time i was there, i ordered a crab sandwich special. The bun was not toasted and the crab patty was cold...horrible food everytime I've been here. Do not waste your time parking and walking to this one. And when i complained, was not comped for the uneaten food.

“So disappointed!”
Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

Vegetables boiled till their color was gone. Baked cod served cold. Fries not hand cut. On the other hand, prime rib was tender and horseradish was VERY good. Maybe Monday is not their best day?

“Not bad but interesting”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

We decided to try Soapy's for a late lunch/early supper while in Fairbanks. There was a fight outside the bar next door and we almost decided not to go in, but the waitress came out, calmed the drunks down and really bent over backward to accomodate us. The food was ok and we left satisfied, but we really just weren't overly impressed with the place.

“Memorbilia galore”

Great waitress who gave us good advice on the menu options. Food was delicious and plentiful. Lots of "stuff" to look at and enjoy on the walls and ceiling.

“Not bad......go when it's not busy”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

This place is worth the stop. Almost as much museum as restaurant. Our service was adequate, the food was terrific. Fact of the matter is, places overrun with tourists just seem to go down hill. My visit was before the "season" got started and I was glad I stopped.
