This is definitely a local joint with local game meat. The mustard and sausage they sell is extremely tasty and you won't ever want different mustard again (it is a bit spicy as well as sweet). Tourists may be put off by what it looks like, but the food is really good and the owner is very nice. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try meat you can't get anywhere else and tastes great.

I had the Steak Alaska which is caribou & it was delicious! So was the fried zucchini chips. Plain tables & chairs but good service, hot food & friendly staff.

The employees were nice and polite. I felt like the prices were a little high for the environment. The restaurant was kinda different but fits in with Fairbanks. The food was good. The burger was juicy and flavorful. We all left full and content with our meal. Definitely a good place to take outta-towners to try some of the local game.

Reindeer, Caribou, Buffalo and burgers. Nothing special, but worth a try if you want to experience some interesting meats!

Went to Loose Moose to try some local foods not available in our area. The menu was interesting - caribou, reindeer, etc. The food was OK, not great by any means, but it was a pleasant experience, food was unique, and the staff was very friendly. If in Fairbanks, it's an opportunity to eat out of the ordinary; give it a try.
