Food was pretty good, but pretty high prices for a stand up and order kind of place. It was basically high priced fast food that was definitely better than a chain restaurant, but still fries, burgers, fish/chips, soups, sandwiches, etc. But the food was tasty enough and overall I would not say it was a bad place. Just average.

We spent eight days in Fairbanks and ate here 4-5 times! They have the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten, and we've eaten them in a lot of places. The reindeer polish dogs with grilled onions are also great. We couldn't stay away!

My tour group of 12 had lunch at the Loose Moose in late December. The people working the grill were very nice and helpful in assisting me in choosing what to eat. I ended up with the bison burger and caribou chili - both were fine. Very laid back atmosphere - not too far from the University. Very nice break from fast food and Fred Meyer.

The Alaskan steak was basically reindeer meet, tasted a bit sausage-like that is very juicy, very good. Also got the bison chili which was delicious. We did not like the bison burger too much, mainly because it was a bit overcooked and too gamey. overall, compared to other dining options in Fairbanks, I'd definitely come back here again.
