This is a small but very attractive garden located along the lower
southwest side of the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. It is a good place to visit in the summer to view the kinds of flowering plants that can be grown in the Fairbanks area. Also if you are a resident of Fairbanks area, it gives you good ideas of the perennnials that can be grown successfully in Fairbanks.

If you live peonies, this is the place for you. Bro the cold winters and warm summers, peonies florish here in the summer. All kinds of colors and huge!

We go to the Georgeson Botanical Gardens several times over the summer. It is amazing how everything changes over the summer.

The Botanical Gardens showcase gorgeous landscape plants and great agricultural varieties that can be grown in Interior Alaska. Walkways (most ADA accessible) wind throughout. Children's Garden is fun and attractive. Water features, mature trees, and many annual & perennial beds throughout. Somehow on a shoestring of funding they keep this gorgeous and informative garden wonderful.

This is an experimental garden, and has a meaningful purpose, but it is also beautiful and peaceful. It even has a place for kids to play and discover. After quenching your curiosity, choose a bench and take in the expansive view.
