We go to the Georgeson Botanical Gardens several times over the summer. It is amazing how everything changes over the summer.

The Botanical Gardens showcase gorgeous landscape plants and great agricultural varieties that can be grown in Interior Alaska. Walkways (most ADA accessible) wind throughout. Children's Garden is fun and attractive. Water features, mature trees, and many annual & perennial beds throughout. Somehow on a shoestring of funding they keep this gorgeous and informative garden wonderful.

This is an experimental garden, and has a meaningful purpose, but it is also beautiful and peaceful. It even has a place for kids to play and discover. After quenching your curiosity, choose a bench and take in the expansive view.

Surprised to see so many flowers still in bloom in September. Was hard to find - turned around three times - and then realized the problem was the construction along the highway that had removed all the signs. Gardens were quite extensive, but needed a little more TLC.
