The price and location were perfect for our business trip to Fairbanks - for mobile food vending at a downtown Fairbanks festival. We found the front desk manager and staff very helpful in locating a nearby parking area for our truck and mobile unit. The hotel is easy walk to all the main downtown shopping and the festival we participated in.

This hotel is centrally located, adjacent to a decent Italian restaurant. Close to the ice museum and the information/museum centre. They operate a bus that travels to various parts of the city and they also provided pick-up/delivery to the airport.
Staff were helpful. Only criticism, is the breakfast which is overpriced compared with what other hotels in the area offer for the same price.
Bring along eye covers - as it's light most of the night.
We travelled to the Chena Ice Museum and don't think it is worth the cost of car rental and a long drive. Rather check out the local ice-museum in Fairbanks.

Got into Fairbanks and wasn't sure where to stay. Checked around and found the prices at the Bridgewater to be better than the big chains. What a pleasant surprise it was staying here. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest staff at the front desk we've ever encountered. The were very helpful with all our questions. We were originally going to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 4 and we were very glad we picked the Bridgewater from the start. They offer a VERY NICE breakfast in the hotel.
One negative was the size of the shower stall, we aren't big people but it was a tad cramped in there.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat should we ever return to Fairbanks!!

Fourth time I've stayed at the Bridgewater, best of Fairbanks' summer options. Rooms are clean and comfortable, good location, helpful front desk staff.

I spent two nights here and although the hotel was fine, the staff made my stay spectacular! The Bridgewater is only open in the summer. The location downtown is very convenient. I was within five blocks of the post office, tourist shopping, downtown attractions, the Visitors Center and the local bus transit center. The Bridgewater is right across the street from the Chena River - there is a beautiful greenway for a couple of miles - a very pleasant walk! The hotel has a breakfast buffet, but it is right between two of the best restaurants in the city for lunch and/or dinner. Big Daddy's, as featured on the Food Network, is on one side and the excellent (however overpriced) Gambardellas is on the other. The aromas will tempt you right in, and you won't be disappointed at either place.
The Bridgewater is an older hotel - basic - but the most reasonably priced, clean hotel in Fairbanks in the summer. If you need 32" flat screen TVs in each room, don't go here. If you want to be comfortable on a budget, this is your place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One woman noticed my T-shirt and brought me an article from a recent newspaper that dealt with my shirt topic. The shuttle driver (15 minutes from the airport each way, free!) was teriffic~

The Bridgewater was such a welcome surprise. We spent 3 nights and would definitely stay there again. The hotel is clean and fresh, the staff were all very friendly, informative, and efficient. The rooms are large and offer nice views of downtown Fairbanks. Buzzie did her best to make sure that we were comfortable in our room and helped us navigate around Fairbanks for both our business and tourist adventures. She is a true asset to the Hotel. The location is great....restaurants are within easy walking distance, the downtown area is quaint, and the ice museum is a must.

We planned on staying a few extra days in Fairbanks after our cruise and land tour. We had reservations at the Bridgewater. This hotel is located downtown with dining close by but what makes it a great place to stay is the staff. These folks went out of their way to help us when I became ill our last day there. Service that we didn't find at the larger hotels we stayed at. The hotel has a free bus service that takes you to various shopping and tourist sites. Dining is close by and they have a great breakfast buffet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone headed to Fairbanks.
