I was amazed at the gentleness of the reindeer and surprised at how large the antlers get in such a short time. The information shared by the workers and their obvious love of the animals was an added bonus. It was clear this is more than just a job for them. Here with friends celebrating retirement, we visited the ranch on our first day in Alaska. Not sure anything else will compare!

We loved it! We really enjoyed the time at Running Reindeer Farm! We were so pleased with our experience here, the staff was friendly and informative. We learned new things about reindeer and I thought they had something for everyone of all ages. The reindeer were surprisingly friendly and gentle. They walked nearby you, carefully avoiding you with their antlers. It was so fun, I would suggest to anyone visiting Fairbanks.

We had the best time at Running Reindeer Ranch today. I know everyone says you get to hang out with the reindeer... But I could hardly believe it. But you do! It was so awesome. You really do get to walk around with them and pet them. The reindeer are fun and playful. There were even 3 calves we got to pet. It was so fun going on a walk in the woods with the reindeer.
The staff were fun and informative. I learned a lot about reindeer I didn't know. (They were also thoughtful and have bug spray... The website isn't kidding the mosquitoes were crazy. If you are from the south, You've probably never seen anything like it. Wear long sleeves and pants and cover yourself in strong bug spray.)
Such a great experience! If you aren't sure and you like animals... Do it!!! Totally great experience.

We are senior travelers and loved visiting the reindeer ranch. The staff was so fun and informative. They included amazing reindeer facts and interesting and personal stories . Walking through the forest with the reindeer scampering around us was just delightful. The passion they have for the animals is so evident and the animals are so healthy and happy. They ended the trip with lemonade and cookies and lots of time to watch the reindeer run freely around us and answer questions. I highly recommend this fun experience.
