I found this hotel fantastic. Breakfast buffet, coffee in room, laundry facilities(small charge), business centre, wifi, small health gym...all free for guests to use. The staff were outstanding, they couldn't do enough to help you. They were better than the visitor's centre. They even woke you up if the Aurura presented itself. We didn't have a car and did find this location a problem to get around. So we hired a car and could not have been happier. Far exceeded our expectations.

I always like to hear that we exceeded expectations. Customer service is our number one priority and your comment about us being better than the Visitor's Center made me smile. Thank you for staying with us.

We came to Fairbanks for the Ice Sculptures and the hot springs. Location was far from downtown, but a good value for the clean accommodations, large bath with amenities, and many options for breakfast. Very satisfied.

I will never stay at this hotel again. The staff was not bad for the most part. Quality of food in the morning was the poor at best. Found to be sleepless if on the front side of hotel. Room smelled..

Room Tip: choose a room on the back side of the hotel.

We were based here for our four-night stay in Fairbanks with no car. Good showers, beds pretty comfy with lots of pillows. Staff, esp. Jackie at breakfast, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, included with the room price, had many more options than usual: omelets, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt as well as breads and cereals.
We learned we could walk across the street to Fred Meyers grocery and catch the bus to most places, which was part of the adventure and very affordable. Taxis were quick to show up when called from the hotel, so we used those as well.

To give an example of how wonderful the staff is, on our arrival the first night, we didn't have time to get coffee before rushing off to try to see the Northern Lights (as a new batch was brewing). The receptionist told us that the coffee would be ready in a moment, but we didn't want to wait My wife needed to return to the room, and then rushed back to the car. I was about to start the engine, when in the freezing-cold parking lot we got a knock on our car window, and there was the receptionist with three hot cups of coffee for us. I've never experienced anything more thoughtful in ANY hotel or motel (from most expensive to the most economical). Really, the staff is wonderful.

Basic but pleasant and good location. The staff was helpful and tried to accommodate. They did not have much information about things to do or see but did their basic job well. There were a lot of special activities going on in Fairbanks that week - Native Cultural Festival and international Ice carving competition.

Room was OK. Bed had a lumpy topper but was spotless. Rooms on top floor and at rear are quieter than the others. Breakfast disappointing as they were out of many items and seating is simply not adequate for even 1/2 the number of guests.
