Any problems were dealt with effectively.. especially by the first person I met, Britt. All in all it was a good experience. The breakfast wasn't up to par with other hotels, i.e. eggs and potatoes were sometimes barely warm but there was plenty of other items to choose from.

Room Tip: Across the street from a Fred Meyer so if you forget anything, it is handy. It is off the main road...

We stayed overnight before our flight took off from Fairbanks. Regrettably, we were just there to sleep (I think we were there a sum total of 9 hours), but the room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was a cut above. So many options! It is also conveniently located to other things to do in Fairbanks. The only negative is that all the planes fly right above it as it is so close to the airport so bring earplugs!

We spent one night at the hotel after a very long day of traveling. It was convenient to the airport and very quiet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and even printed a restaurant menu for us. The breakfast area was clean and well-stocked with a very attentive staff member.

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights before our Cruise tour with Princess. We flew into Fairbanks at 12:30 am and the hotel paid for a complimentary cab to bring us to the hotel from the airport! The hotel is about 2 miles from the airport. All of the great things I read on Tripadvisor about the hotel (which led me to book) were confirmed. It was recently renovated, extremely clean and well appointed. The rates were very reasonable too! The rooms were spotless, smelled good, and had a very modern and trendy decor. Our room had a fridge, flat screen tv, an best of all FREE wifi throughout hotel. The ladies at the front desk were extremely knowledgable and ready ad willing to help with any request or recommendations. The location of the hotel does require (a) a willingness to walk or (b) a car. My wife and I (both in 30s) love to walk and didn't have a car. We did walk into downtown (3.5 miles each way) along main road (Airport Way) which surprisingly had sidewalks the entire way. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast each morning from 6:30-9:30 am. It has hot and cold items. Fruit, cereals, homemade waffles, coffees juices etc. very nice spread. I would highly recommend this hotel as it has all the necessities, is affordable, very clean and close to airport. TIP: there is a grocery/department store (like a super Walmart) called Fred Meyer across the street to purchase all kinds of food and other necessities like bottled water as hotel charge $2.00 for a 16 oz bottle.

I found staff at the Best Western Plus Chena Lodge to be friendly and informative during my stay. The hotel was located a short distance from the airport and was easy to find. Cost of a cab ride to hotel would run $20. The daily breakfast was set up every day by 6 a.m. Our room was neat and clean and everything worked perfectly. The hotel was located within no more than a half hour's drive to the sites we wanted to see--Running Reindeer Ranch; North Pole, Alaska; Pioneer Park, and the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. Navigating Fairbanks is easy so don't be afraid to rent a car while there. Also, great little farmer's market on weekends. Ask the front desk for recommendations on local eateries; they will steer you to some good ones.

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor at the back side of the hotel--very quiet.

This was out first stop in Fairbanks, and it was just a short drive from the airport after a long flight and late night arrival. No problem with noise despite being near the airport. It was very clean and comfortable. Nice array at the free breakfast buffet. Close to Fred Meyer, a fantastic grocery/department store to stock up on snacks or necessities left at home. The price for our stay was much lower than other nearby hotels. Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed there 5 different times within the past 2 months and have had problems with customer service at the counter every time. From canceling reservations to charging the wrong rates, to checking me out early becasue of a computer error. I have also had difficulties with the front desk checking out, and even been charged for the wrong number of nights after discussing with the manager, after leaving the hotel. Overall, they cause more time than is necessary.

Overall, not the most competent staff.
