Sad good to read the other people's reviews when we had such an amazing experience. We see GoNorth as a small oasis in a city that's not very attractive. It's pretty with wooden houses, lots of trees, green grass, a lovely fireplace etc. There's also a seperate little log house where you can watch TV and movies.
The campsite might be a bit crowded, we never really thought about it. There's a large kitchen with everything you need to cook. inside there's several large tables and outside there's a large porch with lots of chairs. The young girl working there was so sweet but I must admit that we were laughing at the older staff member (mother of the owner I think). She was cleaning and seemed a bit irritable and kept repeating that people had to do their own dishes. But it really wasn't bad and we just ignored her.
You can pay to have your clothe washed. (can't remember the price)
We liked that fact that there was so much space to hang out and mostly we loved the people we met there. We are in fact still friends with several of the people we met there. People were shopping together, making BBQ's together, buying large cakes for everybody, making fresh popcorn for everybody, buying rounds for everybody. But there was no late night parties going on, just a very nice and sociable atmosphere.
We think the price was reasonable and didn't mind to pay for the showers.
