“Fair value, order entrees hotter, no liquor license”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Downtown Fairbanks looks pretty seedy to us but is reportedly a safe town. We walked to and fro and encountered very few people on a Sunday afternoon and evening.'

Two of us enjoyed a meal at Bahn Thai, selected not only on the strength of Trip Advisor Reviews, but also those of our B&B hostess, walking distance away. Service was fast and the staff obviously hard working. Everything arrived piping hot. First we ordered the (cold) spring rolls (with a side dish, extra, of peanut sauce) and hot halibut rolls (fried), The portions were very large for each, as appetizers: 4 spring rolls and 8 halibut rolls (well, four, cut in half). We split an entree of duck with vegetables, with a side dish of rice. We ordered medium spicy. Again, the portion was ample and hot, but very mild - in fact, although we could detect flavorings, they were not hot-spicy. THe appetizers were about $10 each and the entree was about $15. We took plenty home. I think four people could share two appetizers and two entrees and be well satisfied by the quantity. No liquor license.

“Very Authentic Flavors!”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

I had read on previous reviews that the Halibut Egg Roll was a must have so we ordered it.
It is SO GOOD! Just the right amount of veggies, didn't overpower the Halibut.
Pad Thai (chicken) spot on flavors, ordered Medium Spicy, had a bit of a kick but not too much.
Masaman Curry (chicken) ordered mild, was TERRIFIC! Such a great comfort food, the cumin and cinnamon flavors really stood out. Just right on the rainy day we went!
The Eggplant Delight was disappointing, ordered mild, but it was BLAND and the eggplant was overcooked.
You do have to pay extra for rice with your dishes, BUT it is such a generous portion. If there were 2 people wanting rice you could order just 1 portion. We had 2 portions and still had plenty of it left after we ate our leftovers at home.
Decent prices for Fairbanks.

“Yum”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

We stopped here as it was convenient and were rewarded with an excellent dinner. I had a yellow curry that was by far one of the best I've ever had. I usually order a 2 in hotness -- this was a hot-2!, but good.
