The worst part about dinner here is trying to find the entrance. The main dining room serves only Sunday brunch. Other meals are served in the cellar pub and small dining room adjacent to the courtyard. The directions on the front door tell you to go left... which is correct if you look left from the front door, but not if you turn around to get back to the sidewalk, (which you must do). Because we liked it quieter, we chose the small dining room. Our table looked out over the beautiful courtyard... beautiful even when being pummeled by wind and rain.
The food is good, but I find the portion sizes to be way too small for the price. My husband's for was tender and cooked to perfection. My duck breast was flavorful and smoky, but did not have the characteristic crispy skin I have grown so fond of. The grits with the dish were sticky, not creamy. My son had the pepper pasta with shrimp. This was the best dish on the table.
Yes, we'll go back again, but maybe we'll see if we can order off the much less expensive pub menu.
