Two excellent nights at the Caroline topped off a cold March trip around Virginia. Lindi was in charge of the 2 B&B's in a group (the Richard Johnson is the other). She left us a key set and complete instructions for the Caroline, our room, and parking. She made a really nice breakfast and made us feel very welcome though we were the only guests on a Cold Snowy Sunday and Monday in March.
The design and furnishings of the house are very unique. The rooms are decorated in different styles, ours in a black and white motif. The ample bath was terrific. The large tub with jets and bubbles and the separate stall shower really a pleasure. Every traveler's need was anticipated. We slept very well in a luxurious bed. The WiFi connection was always good so our selected music on Sirius was uninterrupted.
We had breakfast on the second morning at the Richard Johnson. This second morning we had eggs to order in addition to several other items. Each morning there was a breakfast "dessert" specially prepared by Lindi. So bring your appetite or do as we did and use the Gym 3 blocks away.....
