Kupel's is a classic. The bagels are great and they make wonderful sandwiches. In addition, they have a wonderful selection of Kosher pastries and other sweets. The chocolate Danish is my favorite.

Been coming here for 30 years. Whenever i come back to Boston, it is a must for me. Whatever bagel combination makes your fancy, they can do. And all are wonderful. They have a bunch of specials named after Boston celebrities and areas.

I still like mine with nova and lox. They have some of the best.

They have other bakery items too. But I have always gone for the bagels.

A definite must for breakfast in Boston.

Delicious bagels- and wonderfully sweet and melt in your mouth challah. All kosher.
Kids favorite are the black and white cookies, and the big chocolate chip cookies.
Cakes are moist. Mandel brot, since my grandmother made the best, is wonderful. Here it is moist and delicious. (some places dry and falls apart) At Purim the hamentaschen are sweet and have plenty of different kinds to choose from.

I ended up making a trip into Brookline specifically to visit Kupel's (after missing them over Passover), and it was well worth the wait. Great freshly made bagel, probably the best loaf of pumpernickel I've ever had, and wonderfully sweet and savory hamentashen. I would just advise people to have them cut the bread for you, and I for one couldn't make a straight slice to save my life.
