“Gem of a B & B”

Nestled on a tree lined street just off the bustle of Harvard Street in Brookline. Easy walking distance to the T and my favorite shopping destination Trader Joe's. We enjoyed breakfast al fresco the two mornings we stayed here. Fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cheese, smoked salmon etc. were a perfect start to each day. We had more interaction with Marcos and he was a delightful, charming host. Betsy was also extremely helpful and gracious. Their house is your house.

When Betsy and Marcos say "Make yourself at home," they really mean it. Everything about our stay was perfect: the convenient (free) off-street parking, fresh coffee upon arrival (and always available), comfortable room and bed, great shower, delicious and well-presented breakfast, gracious and friendly hosts, nice living room for reading and relaxing, and the list goes on.

The location was outstanding, too. We planned to use the T to get downtown, but the weather was so nice we decided to walk the whole way. It was a bit of a trek (about an hour) but still doable. We came back on foot, too, following the riverfront for a while, through the BU campus, and then through a variety of neighborhoods. That evening and the next morning we had to go into town again, but needed our car, and it was a straight shot in with very little traffic.

Our last morning was highlighted by breakfast on the second story patio. It's cliche to say we didn't want to leave, but we didn't want to leave. On our next trip to Boston we won't need to search hard for a place to stay because we've already found it.

this little gem is not only charming, comfortable and beautiful, but the hosts, Betsy and Marcos, are wonderful humans (as their captivating gallery of family photos will rightly attest) who bend over backward to make your stay comfortable and memorable. its location is prime - a mere half hour by public transport from the city center in the beautiful suburb of brookline. i walked to a nearby T stop (one of several) every morning through old "hi honey, i'm home!" neighborhoods. the real estate people say, "location, location, location!" and this place has it all - a very charming neighborhood, quite close to transport links and a wide variety of local shops. it also has a rich dose of the human touch which you'll rarely if EVER find in a corporate hotel. i wholeheartedly recommend this venue for anyone - business (as i was lucky enough to be this for this go) or pleasure. i must admit: i hope to return.

Room Tip: i've only had one room - it was clean as a whistle and very private. the furniture was old and...

This was our first visit to a Bed and Breakfast ever. On the Park was the most pleasant experience. Our hosts went above and beyond. The accomodations were beautiful and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. A close walk to the T. We will most definintely stay here again!

Room Tip: We like the room with the private bath

We stayed six nights with Betsy and Marcos and were made very welcome, their home is very comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished in the New England style. The breakfast is delicious and we really liked being able to make a hot drink whenever we wanted. The neighbourhood feels very safe and quiet but within easy reach of central Boston via the green line T. This was our first visit to the States and we can't wait to return to stay here again.

Betsy and Marcos find that balance between being a welcoming and hospitable couple who invite you to sit and chat, while simultaneously giving you the space to do your own thing. Their home has this warm and familiar feel, situated on the local park of a tranquil neighborhood outside of Boston's downtown core in a smaller suburban area yet easily accesible via T or a longer stroll on a nice day. To give a quick rundown of the place, it's a 3 floor private home with guest rooms on a separate 3rd floor and private or shared bath depending on your preference. The house has Wifi, should you need to do work or use the computer, not that you'll want to. You can sit on one of 2 porches overlooking the park, or park yourself on one of the deep couches in the living room with a cup of tea or coffee, which is available around the clock. Breakfast is satisfying (think yogurt, granola, fruit, oj, and croissant/muffin). Overall, a really lovely stay and I'm looking forward to when I'm next in town so I can do it all again.

On the Park is a comfortable and beautifully furnished family home on a quiet and picturesque street. The local T stop is just ten minutes walk away and from there you've a quick trip into central Boston. Not that you need to go into Boston to find places to eat; there's everything you could want locally in Brookline.

Best of all, you won't encounter friendlier or more accommodating hosts.
