“OK hotel restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

Friendly staff, generous portions and good value- ambiance in the bar area (bright office type lighting even for dinner time) is not great. Tables too close together (Seems like staff didn't want to open the more spacious Atrium area.) Decent option if staying at the hotel and too tired to walk anywhere or it's too rainy. Salads are huge recommend to split - everyone liked the New England clam chowder.

“Surprisingly Good Dinner in Holiday Inn's Atrium Cafe/Breakfast Blah”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014

We ate with friends in town for a medical appointment and had dinner which actually was served in the lounge, not in the Atrium Cafe itself. The wine was decent ($7), the Baked Codfish was very good ($18) and the ribeye steak was excellent. The 12 oz steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and seasoned with lots of flavor ($20). We also shared a cheesecake for dessert ($6) that was surprisingly good. Service by Max was friendly and efficient, despite a good crowd in the lounge that evening.

Breakfast the next morning in the actual Atrium Cafe was not so good. I made the mistake of having the buffet. The scrambled eggs were over-cooked and dry; the sausage was also over-cooked and dry: both no doubt from being in the warmers. Next time I would order fresh from the menu, as I could have done that morning. Service was friendly and otherwise efficient.
