My wife, parents, and I had a spectacular meal here. Interesting but accessible food, just don't let the Italian name fool you. Everything we ate was wonderful but the standouts were the carrots, corn polenta, and the kale and and and... It is worth asking staff for recommendations because I don't think the menu descriptions do anything justice.

I'm always impressed with what chef Tim Maslow serves up. A big fan of Strip T's... finally got around to checking out his new place in Brookline. The setting is much improved from the "hole in the wall" atmosphere of his first place... but tables still close together as they line the wall... and a long "communal" table that runs the length of the restaurant (parallel to the first row of tables)... lots of tables here. Atmosphere is ok enough as the food's the thing here.

Chef Maslow mans the helm in the kitchen making sure this new outpost delivers... and it does. Everything we had was excellent, as usual. Dishes very similar to what you'd expect at ST's... but a larger menu... a larger wine list... and a full bar (seemed like about 10-12 seats).

The place is large. Not very busy when

Brookline's Washington Square is becoming known for its restaurants. Ribelle is the newest, and most unusual. Portions are larger than tapas, but smaller than a normal main course. The menu is by style of food rather than appetiser/main course. You can read about the owner/chef and his career at the chic New York restaurant online. The servers were very good, and they need to be to properly explain the menu and the wine list.
